Malema says his party will not be looting but warns against anyone who intends to challenge the protesters. The EFF is calling for the
resignation of President Cyril Ramaphosa, demanding an end to load-shedding, crime, unemployment, among the pressing issues in the country. Business has condemned the planned shutdown, highlighting its potential adverse impact on the economy. Meanwhile, the Cape Town mayor has applied for an interdict.
